Avoid This Meal!

'Everyone should avoid eating ___ Foods or risk being infected with a terrible ailment that will cause severe suffering to its victims before finally causing them death and destruction. Please pass this info to all your friends and loved ones and even everyone around you with swiftness.'

Well, I made that up but I'm sure if that was a fact and you happen to get hold of such an important piece of information, you'd do everything in your power to pass it across to your loved ones. You'd want to educate them and make sure they flee such harmful substances. Right? But...

What about the weightier matter of eternity? What about letting them know the dangers associated with sin? We naturally would want to protect those we love from physical harm and injury. But why is it so difficult to let them know about eternity, about a Heaven and a Hell as an attempt to protect them from EVERLASTING destruction? Why do we watch in silence as they feast on a meal of different forms of sin? Isn't sin fatal, injurious, harmful, degrading and totally destructive? Wouldn't it leave its captive in ruins and pain?

Do you want that person you love to have an eternity of utter pain, sorrow and abysmal agony? If not, then you've got work to do.
