GAIN OR LOSS?(Episode 1)
'You did well, son. Mum and I are very proud of you,' his father declared in a cheery voice. Larry was happy with his success on the field today, and was even more pleased with his father's words. What more could this teen ask for? At 17, he was a year 2 student at Splengers University, and on scholarship. Yea, he was so good with his sports that the academe extraordinaire thought him a must-have. Acacia Institute of Science and Technology was interested in him too but since Splengers' had always been his dream school he accepted her offer instead. His athletic build and charming face had the girls gawking. And he had a sharp mind to grasp anything bookish. Indeed, he was a star kid.
Larry- young and seemingly full of life- went to bed that night with a smile on his face, the face that had the light hue of milk candy. Next morning, he woke up ready to flex his muscles like he did at dawn each day. He stretched his long legs but they seemed to have very little life in them. 'Maybe it's because I just returned from sleep-island,' he thought to himself. He made to get on his feet swiftly but sadly, his limbs were suddenly as unmovable as Mount Kilimanjaro.
